Nicely written Lisa. My husband is from North Carolina and has been telling me about the pleasures of Linville Gorge for years. Even one incredibly rainy backpacking trip that would make a man out of anyone. Now I’ve got a REALLY good reason to go!

Thomasina is so inspiring. You might try rotating your camera to landscape though to shoot a better video. All the same, great work!

Hi there. I’m Sorry you didn’t get out to Harvey’s a little more. Madoc (the other guy who has developed Harvey’s) and I still head out when work allows but that has been a little less often of late. We had a big crew there for a week and a half mid July and we’ll put up a video of that before the year is out. Send me an email next time and Madoc and we will give you a tour. There is actually about 1200 problems, although the guide only lists a few hundred, so it can be atough place to navigate without local beta. Best of luck! Steve
